A Montessori classroom is a prepared learning environment designed with great care to allow the children who work in it to be independent and successful as they explore each activity. As you observe the Montessori environment you will be able to see activities and equipment which stimulate a child's natural curiosity and creative abilities. You will see children working either individually or with others, in small spontaneous groups. Interaction occurs naturally among the children throughout the day and is one of the primary ways that a child develops both social and intellectual skills.
