Parents who suspect their child may need special education services should contact their school district's Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE).  This committee will authorize an evaluation.  A meeting of the Committee on Preschool Special Education will be held and if a child qualifies for services they will be authorized.   Services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, counseling, special education itinerant teacher, integrated special education classes or self contained special education classes may be recommended.
