Alcott Montessori School Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund, which gives partial scholarships to families who might not otherwise be able to afford to send their children to the school,  was established two years after Alcott opened by a group of parents, staff and members of the community.  Today $75 of every child's tuition is put into the fund.  It is hoped that the Alcott School's Scholarship Fund will help provide a good educational experience for some who might not otherwise be able to afford it.  Interested parents can request a scholarship application.  All information on the application is kept strictly confidential.

To give you some idea of whether or not your family might qualify for a partial scholarship, we have listed some eligibility guidelines below.  While these criteria have some flexibility they are fairly indicative of the families who have received scholarships in prior years.  Eligibility guidelines are:

All scholarship parents are expected to donate time to Alcott.  This time may be for fund raising, classroom help or maintenance work, e.g. helping to paint a room or hallway, fixing a shelf, etc.

Be assured that all scholarship information is kept confidential.
