Dear Parents,
These past two weeks we have been learning about the seven continents and different countries around the world. We made our own passports, suitcase and “traveled” around the world. First, we stopped to Europe and learned about Albania, a small country in Europe. We read a book in Albanian language, we are practicing counting 1- 10 in Albanian, and we danced and sang “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” in Albanian.
From Europe we traveled to Africa, where we learned about Kenya, their traditions, their flag and we located Kenya on our Montessori Map.
The third continent we visited was Asia, where we learned about the Philippines, we looked at beautiful scenes of Philippines, and we colored the Philippine flag.
Lastly, we came back to North America and visited Canada. We learned about the Canadian flag, Canadian money, totem poles, maple leaves and we made a Canadian money booklet.
We also have been busy working on our Mother’s Day crafts, singing Mother’s Day songs and as always enjoying our outdoor time whenever weather permits.
All the best,
Kaltrina, Diane, Ruby and Marie
