Dear Parents,

Spirit week was a huge success!! The children looked forward seeing everyone in our Alcott community dressed for the theme of the day. They especially enjoyed our class Pajama day breakfast of pancake pops, pancakes made in the cake pop machine!

We learned about animal families. Did you know some goats can climb trees??

Our caterpillars arrived!! The first thing the children do when entering the classroom, is to go see them. Their daily anticipation and their amazement of the metamorphosis is delightful to watch. We will continue our study of butterflies by reading books, doing life cycle studies and by size grading. We incorporated the theme into our math and language work as well.

To celebrate Earth Day, we spoke about ways to keep our earth healthy and made a “stained glass” planet earth, race cars and a robot made from recycled materials.

I speak with Eva daily, and she sends her regards.
