Issue: December 14 - December 22, 2020

School will be closed from Dec 22-Jan 3rd, 2021 We wish you a safe and healthy Winter break!

Dear Parents,

I can’t believe that 2020 is almost over and we are in full swing of the holiday season. The children have been very busy working on their solar system diagrams. We have been learning many fun facts about the planets through books and worksheets. We decorated our holiday tree with ornaments and have been reading a variety of books about Christmas, Kwanzaa and Hanukkah. Thank you to the parents that have sent in your child's favorite books to be read in class.

We continue to go outside to explore nature as much as we can so dress your child appropriately. Many of the children have been playing soccer out in our back playground. They enjoy many fun activities outside. We have collected pine cones and will be making a special craft with them.

We continue to provide academic enrichment classes and most recently had a wonderful zoom music class with Ms. Melissa. The children sang and danced to a variety of holiday songs. In addition, Señora Christina visited us at the school and we learned many new Spanish words. We continue to practice good manners and discuss how we can help each other in our classroom. Just a reminder we are having a Holiday celebration Wednesday December 16th, we encourage the children to come in festive attire. We will be taking pictures that will be posted in our classroom corner. We continue to have our routine fire drills and lockdown drills, the children did very well following directions during these drills.

Reminder: Parent Teacher conferences will be at the end of January.

The date will be emailed to everyone. We are looking forward to having a discussion about your child’s progress and how we will continue to provide academic and social - emotional growth during this unique school year.

Fondly, Ms. Lorraine, Ms. Patti and Ms. Lillian
