Reminder: School is closed 3/29-4/2 for Spring Recess

Dear Parents,

The children had fun learning about Ireland in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day! Ms. Lillian made soda bread and it tasted great! We created a fun art collage with shamrocks and a pot of gold. We read a book about the origins of St. Patrick and we had a gold coin and shamrock scavenger hunt that incorporated math. We had a great 100 day celebration and had some yummy treats. The children are excited for the spring season as we all are after this long winter! We will be planting seeds and tracking the growth on a chart. We created a flower collage with tissue paper and made butterflies for our spring bulletin board in our lobby.

To welcome Spring Alcott will have Spirit Week from April 12th through the 19th. Spirit Week is always a fun time for students and staff. Everyone will come to school dressed according to the theme of the day. Please be on the lookout for an Alcott email with all the details.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Spring break and a Happy Holiday!

Warmly, Ms. Lorraine, Ms. Lilian and Ms. Patti
