Reminder: School closed February 15th - 19th for Winter Recess
Hello Alcott Families,
Happy February! Did the groundhog see his shadow? Will we have six more weeks of winter? I can’t believe we will be talking about this topic in our class this week. The weather outside may be cold and frigid but seeing the children in school every day truly warms our hearts. The boys and girls continue to demonstrate growth and independence in all they do each day. Some of them are getting good at putting on and taking off their own coats, while others are hanging up their belongings in their lockers without teacher’s assistance and some are finally using their words to ask for help. It’s always a great day when we can observe these little learners engaged in meaningful learning experiences and play. We have two new friends who have joined our class as of mid-January and it has been wonderful to see how kind and helpful the current students have been towards them. Love is in the air and Valentine’s Day activities are a great way to start the week! Along with the activities below we will also be focusing on acts of kindness.
On Friday, February 12th, our class will celebrate Valentine’s Day with heart-shaped waffles, fresh fruit in our cozy pajamas. The teachers and children in our class are invited to come to school in their favorite and warmest pajamas.
Warmest regards, Mrs. Rocafuerte, Mrs. Cinquina and Ms.Guglielmi
