Reminder - No school on Monday, May 31 as we observe Memorial Day

Save the date: Moving Up celebration Wednesday June 23rd at 11:30am!

Hello Alcott Families,

What an exciting couple of weeks it has been… the children had a great time observing the changes in their caterpillars and seeing with their own eyes the final transformation of beautiful butterflies.  We were able to release five healthy butterflies into the world.  It's hard to believe that May is quickly coming to an end and we are approaching Memorial Day weekend.  It's that time of the year (finally) where we can spend lots of time outdoors.  The children are enjoying the warm weather and making fun connections during play.  In the next couple of weeks, the theme in our class will be animals in the ocean.  The children will explore ocean sensory bins in class and listen to storybooks.  They will explore beautiful pictures and learn about the different sea creatures that live in the ocean.  As we enter the month of June we will also begin preparing for our end-of-year celebrations.  We are excited that we will be able to have an in-person moving up ceremony this school year.  The invitations will be going out very soon, please make sure to check your child’s backpack for further details.

Warmest regards,

Mrs. Rocafuerte, Mrs. Cinquina and Ms.Guglielmi
