Practical Life:

Practical:

-Opening and closing containers

Putting on a Coat:

-Ask child to lay his or her coat down flat on the floor. (The inside of the jacket should be faced up) 

Then crouch down and push hands her hands in the sleeves.

The child should stand up fully, lifting both arms simultaneously up. She uses momentum to lift and flip coat over her head. Adjust coat if necessary and zip it up.

 

Sensorial:

Circle Scavenger Hunt:

-Explore your home to find items that are shaped like a circle. What circular items can you find?

Sensory Bin: (Making a Sensory bin)

Development Aim:

-The importance of sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain pathways which lead to child’s ability to complete more complex learning tasks. Sensory play supports language, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving, and social interaction. This type of play aids in developing and enhancing memory.

 

Language:

“I SPY” Games

Development Aims:

-To develop auditory perceptual skills

-To understand a concept of a word

-To develop interest in sounds

-Recognition of the difference between vowels and constants

Practical Aim:

-To focus the child’s attention on the individual sounds which make up a word

-To develop auditory discrimination of sounds

-To hear sounds in isolation
