We will have a sitewide Pajama Day on Fri Feb 26th –

please send your child in some cozy PJ’s!

Dear Parents,

During the last two weeks, we introduced the children to the solar system. We discussed facts about each planet and the students were given a styrofoam planet to work with. During the lesson the goal was for each student to retain an important fact about the planet to them. The class project was to have each student create the solar system using the following materials: construction paper, and eight pre-cut planets which the children had to place in order. The children will continue to learn about the solar system through the end of the month of February.

We had a special activity for Kindness Day which will be held on February 13th. We discussed with the class different ways we can be kind to our friends and family. Each child was given a colored heart and children gave examples how they are kind to their friends and family. The children enjoyed this activity so much that when we wait in the hall or line up, we always read our Kindness Tree Hearts.

We had such a wonderful time during our Valentine’s Day Celebration. We read a story to the children called Valentine’s Day by. After reading the story children enjoyed heart pancakes with fresh strawberries. We placed our Valentine day cards into our Valentine Day pizza boxes. Thank you, parents, for your support!

Warm Regards,

Ms. Victoria, Ms. Francine, and Ms. Nancy
