Theme: Spring: Nature/insects

Let’s continue learning about spring especially, about nature and insects through various activities, books and videos.





-Banana slicing

-Orange juice making

-Window washing with a spray bottle (with water) and towels

-Flower arrangement



-Continue reading books related to Spring

Suggested books are:

"When Spring Comes" by Kevin Hankes

"Little Cloud" by Eric Carl

"The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle

"The Very Busy Spider" by Eric Carl

"A Perfect Day" by Lane Smith

-Watch videos

-Encourage child to expand their phrases by providing simple models



-Counting objects 1-10, 10-20

-Marching numbers (concrete objects) with numerals (written symbol) by using homemade number matching cards or using jellybeans, cheerios, or blue berries may be fun

-Decorating numerals 1-5



-Sorting objects by sizes (big/small)

-Sorting objects by weight (heavy/light)

-Observe how plant grow


Fine Motor:

-Snipping/cutting using scissors

-Collage with glue

-Coloring with crayons


Gross Motor

-Walk, run, jump, climb

-Balance walking on a line

-Ride a scooter, tricycle or cozy coupe


Sensory Activities:

-Hand washing with soap

-Making a sensory bag with an grown up, and play with it

            1.mix ¼ cup, ¼ cup water, drip of food color or paint in a ziplock freezer bag

            2.seal the bag with a small packet of air

            3.tape up all four sides of ziplock bag with a packing tape

   it on a table and manipulate it with your hands

-play with play dough



-Participate in preparing snack

-Preparing a set of clothes for the next day

-Putting own clothes on (with some assistance by an adult if necessary)

-Participate in tooth brushing


Social Emotional Skills:

-Using proper words to request and to show appreciation (may I help you, thank you)

-Sharing and taking turns
