Early Intervention Head Teacher: Part time or Full time

 

This is a great opportunity to join a team of Special Education professionals at the Alcott School, serving toddlers who have a variety of communication, social/emotional, sensory and motor needs. We are seeking a part time or full time experienced, dedicated Special Education teacher or Licensed Social Worker to lead an Early Intervention class. Candidates must have a New York State certification in: Special Education, Students with Disabilities: Birth-Grade 2 or a LCSW. Masters is preferred along with at least one year teaching experience. ~ Special Education Teacher Assistants and Substitutes

   To work on-site in our Early Intervention (2 - 3-year-old special education) and 

   Little Class (3 - 5-year-old special education) programs in Dobbs Ferry New York; serving students

      with a variety of communication, emotional, sensory, and motor needs.

      Caring and dedicated candidates must be able to participate in all aspects of early childhood care.

      We offer a supportive team environment, training opportunities, and a competitive rate.

      Experience working with young children is required.

~ Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT)

    To provide educational services to 3 - 5-year-old children in various Westchester County preschools.

      We offer ongoing mentoring and support to all of our providers.

      Experienced and dedicated candidates must have permanent New York State certification in

      special education or Students with Disabilities (SWD) Birth - Grade 2.

      The ability to work five mornings per week is preferable.

~ Teacher Assistants and Substitutes

    To work in our Montessori Toddler (18-months - 3-year) and

    Early Childhood (3 - 5-years-old) programs

​      High School diploma is required

      Classroom experience with young children. CDA, associate's degree, bachelor's degree,

         or master's degree in a child-related field is a plus.

      Knowledge about the Montessori philosophy is beneficial.
