Full-Time Speech and Language Pathologist

​​

The Alcott School is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our preschool special education team.

​

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the speech and language needs of preschool children.

  • Provide individual and/or group speech and language therapy sessions.

  • Complete required documentation and report writing.

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

  • Support parents with information and carry over activities for their child.

Qualifications:

Early Intervention Teacher

​

Excellent opportunity to join a team of Special Education professionals at the Alcott School for the 2026-2027 school year!

​

Alcott School is a special education preschool program serving students 2-5 years old who have a variety of communication, social/emotional, sensory, and motor needs.

​

We are seeking a full-time experienced and dedicated Special Education teacher for our

Early Intervention (2 - 3-year-old special education) .  Candidates must have New York State Permanent Certification in Special Education, or Students with Disabilities Birth - Grade 2, or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities.

​

Special Education and Substitutes

​

To work on-site in our Early Intervention (2 - 3-year-old special education) and 

Little Class (3 - 5-year-old special education) programs in Dobbs Ferry New York      serving students with a variety of communication, emotional, sensory, and motor needs.

 

Caring and dedicated candidates must be able to participate in all aspects of early childhood care.

Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT)

​

To provide educational services to 3 - 5-year-old children in various Westchester County preschools.

 

We offer ongoing mentoring and support to all of our providers.

 

Experienced and dedicated candidates must have permanent New York State certification in special education or Students with Disabilities (SWD) Birth - Grade 2.

 

The ability to work five mornings per week is preferable.

Teacher Assistants and Substitutes

​

To work in our Montessori Toddler (18-months - 3-year) and Early Childhood (3 - 5-years-old) programs

 

​High School diploma is required

​

Classroom experience with young children. CDA, associate's degree, bachelor's degree,

or master's degree in a child-related field is a plus.

​

Knowledge about the Montessori philosophy is beneficial.
