Special Education Teacher Assistants

Alcott School has a special education preschool program serving students 2-5 years old who have a variety of communication, emotional, sensory and motor needs.

We are currently seeking caring and dedicated Teacher Assistants to work in the Early Intervention and 3-5 year old Little Class program. Candidate must be able to participate in all aspects of early childhood care. We offer a supportive team environment, training opportunities and competitive rate. Experience working with young children required. The Alcott School is seeking experienced and dedicated special education itinerant teachers (SEIT) to provide educational services to children ages 3-5 years old in various Westchester County preschools. We offer ongoing mentoring and support to all of our providers.

Candidates must have permanent New York State certification in special education or Students with Disabilities, Birth - Grade 2.

Applicants available five mornings per week are preferable.

Seeking Montessori Toddler Teacher - Dobbs Ferry Location - September 1st Start

Early Childhood Education Degree required; Montessori training is preferred. Prior early childhood classroom experience is necessary. Morning Toddler Class, 20 hours a week, 10-month position.

​High School diploma is required, along with prior classroom experience working with young children.
